deepfellow suite Commands

Non-Interactive Mode

For scripting and automation, run:

deepfellow --non-interactive suite install

In non-interactive mode there is no prompt to fall back on, so every admin value must be supplied up front — via the --admin-name, --admin-email, and --admin-password flags or the DF_SERVER_ADMIN_NAME, DF_SERVER_ADMIN_EMAIL, and DF_SERVER_ADMIN_PASSWORD environment variables. If any of them is missing, the command fails immediately with an error instead of prompting:

$ deepfellow --non-interactive suite install
suite install is missing name, email, password; --non-interactive has no prompt to fall back on. Pass --admin-name/--admin-email/--admin-password

Supply all three to run unattended:

deepfellow --non-interactive suite install \
  --admin-name admin \
  --admin-email admin@example.com \
  --admin-password 'S3cure-Passw0rd!'

If the Infra or Server installation directory already exists, suite install normally asks whether to reinstall over it. In non-interactive mode there is no prompt to fall back on, so the command fails instead. Add --force-install to force a reinstall over an existing installation without asking:

deepfellow --non-interactive suite install \
  --admin-name admin \
  --admin-email admin@example.com \
  --admin-password 'S3cure-Passw0rd!' \
  --force-install

If Docker runs as root on the host, suite install warns about the security risk and asks you to confirm before it prompts for admin values. In non-interactive mode, there is no prompt to fall back on, so the command stops before it installs anything:

$ deepfellow --non-interactive suite install \
  --admin-name admin \
  --admin-email admin@example.com \
  --admin-password 'S3cure-Passw0rd!'
You're using rootful Docker (/var/run/docker.sock). The DeepFellow Infra container will get root-level access to the host. This is a security risk.
Installation failed; see console output above for details.

To install on such a host anyway, add --allow-rootful. The command still shows the warning but continues without asking:

deepfellow --non-interactive suite install \
  --admin-name admin \
  --admin-email admin@example.com \
  --admin-password 'S3cure-Passw0rd!' \
  --allow-rootful

To avoid the warning, run Docker in rootless mode.
